Mollie

Mollie is a payment service that offers payment solutions through physical payment terminals, tap terminals, and terminal apps for Android and iOS devices.

Note

Mollie payment terminals do not require an IoT Box to operate.

Mollie configuration

To configure a Mollie terminal, create a Mollie account, then follow these steps:

  1. In the left menu, go to In-person payments.

  2. Select the desired payment terminal from the list.

  3. Click Terminal information in the top menu.

  4. Copy the Terminal ID; it is required for the Odoo POS configuration process.

  5. Click the Developers icon in the bottom left corner.

  6. Copy the Live API key; it is required for the Odoo POS configuration process.

Important

The Live API key provides access to the Mollie account and must be kept secure.

Odoo POS configuration

To connect the Mollie terminal with Odoo Point of Sale, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Point of Sale ‣ Configuration ‣ Payment Methods and create a payment method.

  2. Set the Journal field to Bank.

  3. Select the desired point of sale in the Point of Sale field.

  4. Set the Integration field to Terminal.

  5. Click Activate or Setup under the Mollie integration from the list of providers if needed.

  6. Optionally, set the Integrate with field to Mollie.

  7. Set the Mollie Payment Provider field to Mollie.

  8. Paste the terminal ID into the Mollie Terminal ID field.

  9. Hover over the Mollie Payment Provider field and click the (Internal link) icon.

  10. Paste the API key into the API Key field. Leave the State field on Disabled if the Mollie payment provider is not used for online payments.

  11. Save the payment provider form.
